- Precision Calibration Execution: Performing meticulous quality calibrations, both in-house at our state-of-the-art facility and on-site at client locations. This will be carried out in strict adherence to national and international standards, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all calibrated equipment. You will develop a deep understanding of various calibration methodologies and instrumentation.
- Ensuring Traceability of Results: Playing a vital role in safeguarding the traceability of laboratory equipment and calibration results. This involves meticulous record-keeping, documentation, and understanding the importance of an unbroken chain of comparisons to national and international measurement standards.
- Contributing to Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in problem-solving initiatives and contributing to the identification and resolution of quality issues. Your fresh perspective and analytical skills will be highly valued in enhancing our operational processes.
- Efficient Equipment Handling: Managing customer equipment and performing calibrations within the stipulated Turnaround Time (TAT) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting client expectations.
- Utilizing Advanced Management Systems: Proficiently utilizing the “Spirit” system for comprehensive equipment management. This will involve learning to navigate and operate specialized software for tracking, scheduling, and documenting equipment movements and maintenance.
- Calibration Team Support: Providing essential support to the calibration team in their day-to-day tasks, assisting with routine procedures, data entry, and preparing equipment for calibration.
- Workshop Remedial Assistance: Lending a hand to the workshop with remedial day-to-day tasks where applicable. This could involve assisting with minor repairs, preventative maintenance, or general workshop operations, offering diverse exposure.
- Laboratory Housekeeping: Actively assisting the calibration team in the upkeep and good laboratory housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment that complies with all regulatory standards.
- Compliance Adherence: Fulfilling full compliance with all necessary statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to calibration activities, safety protocols, and environmental standards. You will learn about the legal and ethical frameworks governing industrial operations.

Job Requirements:

- Matric Certificate: A valid National Senior Certificate (Matric) is a fundamental requirement.
- Tertiary Qualification: A completed tertiary qualification from an accredited institution in one of the following engineering fields is essential:
