As our Truck Driver and Forklift Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our daily operations, directly impacting our ability to serve our clients effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of duties, each critical to our success:

• Flawless Product Transportation: Your primary mission will be the safe and secure transportation of our diverse range of food and spice products to various customer locations and critical distribution points across Johannesburg and the surrounding regions. This demands not only expert driving skills but also a meticulous approach to cargo handling.
• Timely and Accurate Deliveries: We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service. You will be instrumental in ensuring all deliveries are executed promptly and with absolute accuracy, adhering to pre-determined schedules and any specific client requirements. This includes verifying order details against loaded goods before departure and upon arrival.
• Expert Forklift Operation: Proficiency in operating a forklift is non-negotiable. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe loading and offloading of goods onto and from our trucks, as well as managing inventory within designated warehouse areas. This requires a keen eye for detail, spatial awareness, and a commitment to preventing damage to goods or equipment.
• Meticulous Documentation Management: Maintaining precise and comprehensive delivery documentation is crucial for auditing, inventory control, and customer satisfaction. You will accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, waybills, and any internal tracking forms, ensuring every delivery is fully accounted for.
• Proactive Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Checks: Your commitment to safety begins before you even hit the road. You will conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, meticulously checking for any defects, mechanical issues, or compliance concerns. Any anomalies must be reported immediately to ensure the continued safe operation of our fleet.
• Unyielding Adherence to Safety Standards: Road safety and company policies are paramount. You will consistently operate in full compliance with all relevant traffic laws, transportation regulations, and our internal safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety for yourself and others.
• Collaborative Warehouse Support: While your primary focus is on driving and forklift operations, we operate as a cohesive team. You will occasionally be required to lend your support with basic warehouse tasks and general loading duties, demonstrating your versatility and commitment to overall operational success. This could include assisting with packaging, organizing stock, or preparing orders for dispatch.

Minimum Requirements – What We’re Looking For:

To be considered for this vital role, you must possess a proven track record and the following essential qualifications and attributes:

• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence: A non-negotiable requirement, demonstrating your legal authorization to operate the specific class of vehicles used in our operations.
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit): Essential for commercial driving within South Africa, highlighting your professional commitment and compliance.
• Valid Forklift Licence: Certification proving your competence and legal authorization to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrable Forklift Driving Ability: Beyond just a license, we seek practical, hands-on experience and a natural aptitude for precise and safe forklift maneuvers in a busy warehouse environment.
• Extensive Driving Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of verifiable driving experience is required, preferably gained within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, food manufacturing, or wholesale distribution. This industry-specific experience will be highly advantageous.
• In-depth Knowledge of Local and Regional Routes: An excellent understanding of Johannesburg’s road networks, surrounding areas, and key distribution hubs is crucial for efficient route planning and timely deliveries.
• Physical Fitness and Stamina: The role demands a good level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift and carry items, and to assist actively with the manual loading and offloading of goods when necessary.
• Reliable, Punctual, and Safety-Conscious: These core values are non-negotiable. We need an individual who is consistently dependable, always arrives on time, and prioritizes safety in every aspect of their work. Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary ranging from R8 000,00 to R10 000,00 per month, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
