Triton Academy is a TETA and QCTO accredited training provider offering courses in NC Professional Driving (Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver) to unemployed learners. These courses are designed to develop industry- and job-specific skills, empowering participants with the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in the logistics field. Training is available in Johannesburg and the Academy can also assist customers wherever possible with the same courses.
We are currently building a talent pool of motivated and committed individuals for our 12-month National Certificate: Professional Driving/ Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver. This program is aimed at empowering unemployed South African youth through structured training and hands-on experience in the logistics industry.

Eligibility Requirements for the Professional Driving Learnership Programme:

This comprehensive 12-month learnership offers an invaluable opportunity for aspiring professional drivers to gain a National Certificate in Professional Driving or an Occupational Certificate: Truck Driver. To ensure the success and safety of all participants, stringent eligibility criteria have been established. Potential candidates must meticulously review the following requirements before submitting their application:

Citizenship and Legal Standing:

• South African Citizenship: All applicants must hold valid South African citizenship. This is a fundamental requirement for participation in this nationally recognized programme.

Driving Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid C1 Driving Licence: Possession of a valid C1 driving licence is mandatory. This licence class permits the operation of light motor vehicles and certain medium motor vehicles, providing the foundational skills necessary for professional driving.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP): In addition to the C1 licence, applicants must hold a current and valid PrDP. This permit is a legal requirement for individuals who drive a vehicle for hire or reward, ensuring they meet specific standards of competency and safety for commercial operations.

• Own Reliable Transport: Having personal reliable transportation can greatly assist with commuting to the training centre and various workplace components, especially outside of standard public transport hours.
