An Opportunity Arises: General Worker Nightshift Loader in Johannesburg

An exciting and pivotal opportunity has recently become available within our dynamic Johannesburg operations. We are actively seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to fill the crucial role of General Worker Nightshift Loader at our Triton Express facility. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to maintaining the efficiency and smooth flow of our nighttime operations.

The responsibilities inherent in this role are fundamental to the seamless execution of our freight operations. Key duties include:

• Loading and Offloading of Cargo from Linehauls: This primary responsibility involves the careful and efficient handling of a wide variety of cargo as it moves between our central hubs via linehaul vehicles. This requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
• Assisting with Loading and Offloading of Cargo from Local Vehicles: As and when operational demands dictate, the General Worker Nightshift Loader will be instrumental in supporting the loading and offloading of cargo from local delivery vehicles. This collaborative effort ensures the timely dispatch and receipt of goods across the local network.
• General Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment is paramount to our operational efficiency and the well-being of our team. Therefore, general housekeeping duties will be performed as and when required, ensuring the facility remains in optimal condition.

To be considered for this vital role, prospective candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

• Grade 12 Minimum (Matric): A National Senior Certificate (Matric) or its equivalent is a fundamental prerequisite, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: The logistics environment can be demanding and dynamic, particularly during night shifts. The successful candidate must possess the mental fortitude and adaptability to perform effectively under pressure, maintaining composure and efficiency.
• Ability to Communicate in English: Clear and effective communication is essential for teamwork, safety, and operational coordination. Proficiency in spoken and understood English is therefore a non-negotiable requirement.
• Ability to Work Unsupervised: While part of a team, the role often requires individuals to work autonomously and take initiative. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to complete tasks efficiently without constant direct supervision.
• Ability to Work Specific Hours: The nightshift schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 17h00 to 03h00. Punctuality and consistent attendance within these hours are crucial.
• Ability to Work Overtime as and When Required: Due to the fluctuating nature of client requirements and operational demands, the ability and willingness to work overtime on an ad-hoc basis are essential. Flexibility in this regard is highly valued.
