Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient Parts Delivery: Execute daily delivery routes with precision and efficiency, ensuring all automotive parts and materials reach their intended destinations (customers, vendors, other branches, etc.) within established timeframes. This includes planning optimal routes and adapting to unforeseen circumstances like traffic or road closures.
• Loading and Unloading Expertise: Safely and carefully load and unload a diverse range of parts and materials from the delivery vehicle. This requires physical dexterity, an understanding of proper lifting techniques, and the ability to organize items for secure transport, minimizing any potential for damage.
• Vehicle Maintenance and Presentation: Maintain the delivery vehicle in a consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained condition, both inside and out. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is always safe and roadworthy, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to management.
• Inventory Support: Actively assist with various aspects of inventory management within the warehouse. This may include organizing parts on shelves, verifying stock levels, assisting with incoming and outgoing shipments, and contributing to an efficient and organized storage system.
• Exceptional Customer Service: Serve as a positive and professional representative of UD Trucks Midrand during all interactions with customers and vendors. Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable service, addressing any inquiries or concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset. Build positive relationships that enhance our reputation for reliability and customer care.
• Adherence to Safety and Protocols: Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on safety protocols, driving regulations, and delivery guidelines. This includes maintaining accurate delivery logs, handling sensitive documentation, and ensuring compliance with all local traffic laws.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and report any delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer issues to the relevant department or supervisor in a timely manner, contributing to swift resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery manifests, invoices, and vehicle inspection reports, ensuring all documentation is organized and submitted as required.

Requirements:

• Educational Foundation: A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification (such as a South African Matric or NQF Level 4 qualification) is essential, demonstrating a foundational level of literacy and numeracy.
• Valid Driver’s License & Clean Record: Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is non-negotiable. Candidates must be able to provide verifiable proof of a spotless driving history, free from major violations or incidents.
• Previous Delivery Experience (Preferred): While not strictly mandatory, previous experience as a delivery driver, particularly in a commercial or parts delivery environment, will be highly advantageous.
