This pivotal role is based on-site in Centurion, South Africa, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the efficiency and success of our operations, which in turn accelerates the real-life impact of tomorrow’s science and technology.

In this multifaceted and hands-on role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of essential materials and finished products, playing a critical part in our mission to partner with customers across the globe and help them solve their most complex challenges. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire warehouse lifecycle, from initial procurement to final delivery, ensuring that our cutting-edge solutions reach their intended destinations with precision and integrity.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities within this Role Include:

  • Comprehensive Warehouse Process Management: Take ownership of the entire warehouse operation, meticulously overseeing every stage from the initial entry of stock into our facilities to its eventual shipping or responsible scrapping. Your keen eye for detail will ensure efficiency at every turn.
  • Strategic Stock Procurement: Proactively manage inventory levels by placing timely and accurate orders with both local and international suppliers. This requires careful planning and communication to prevent stockouts and maintain optimal inventory.
  • Precise Inventory Control and Quality Assurance: Expertly receive, meticulously check, and diligently manage all incoming inventory. This includes strict adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles and rigorous expiry date monitoring to guarantee product freshness and minimize waste, particularly crucial in the sensitive realm of scientific materials.
  • Professional Product Preparation for Shipment: Skillfully package finished products, ensuring they are prepared for safe and secure transit. This involves precise shrink wrapping, robust boxing, and accurate labeling, adhering to all regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
  • Unwavering Commitment to Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of quality at all times. You will be the guardian of product integrity, ensuring that no damaged products are ever accepted into inventory or dispatched for shipment, safeguarding our reputation and customer satisfaction.
  • Regular and Accurate Inventory Audits: Conduct thorough stock counts on a consistent basis, meticulously updating our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to reflect real-time inventory levels. This accuracy is vital for informed decision-making and operational planning.
  • Championing Operational Excellence (5S): Implement and maintain rigorous 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and exemplary good housekeeping practices throughout the warehouse. A clean, organized, and efficient workspace is paramount for safety, productivity, and the prevention of errors.
  • Proactive Supplier and Logistics Monitoring: Diligently monitor supplier back-orders, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays. You will also meticulously track and verify courier freight invoices, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accurate billing.
  • Effective Stakeholder Communication: Foster clear, concise, and timely communication with both internal teams (sales, operations, finance) and external stakeholders (suppliers, couriers, customers). You will be the crucial link in relaying information regarding stock delays, discrepancies, and other relevant issues, ensuring everyone is informed and solutions are swiftly implemented.
