The Role: The Technical Architect of Our Future

As our Full-Stack Developer, you will assume a critical and highly visible position as the sole technical driver across our entire retail and hospitality portfolio. Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements:

  • Full-Stack Development & Bespoke Solutions: You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of custom, cool, and highly functional web and mobile applications. These won’t be off-the-shelf solutions; you’ll be crafting bespoke tools and platforms tailored precisely to our unique business needs. This includes everything from front-end user interfaces to robust back-end APIs and database management. You will also be tasked with seamlessly integrating these custom applications with our existing operational systems and third-party services.
  • POS & SaaS Ecosystem Expertise: A primary directive will be the implementation, integration, and ongoing maintenance of a unified Point-of-Sale (POS) system across all three of our distinct retail and hospitality locations. This requires not just technical prowess but also a strategic understanding of how a centralized POS system can revolutionize efficiency and data flow. Strong practical experience with various POS systems and a deep understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) architecture, integration patterns, and best practices are highly advantageous and will be critical to your success in this role. You’ll be expected to navigate APIs, troubleshoot integrations, and ensure data integrity across the entire ecosystem.
  • E-commerce & Web Presence Management: You will take the lead in building, launching, and maintaining our digital storefronts and informational websites. Experience with content management systems, particularly WordPress, will be a significant advantage here, allowing for rapid deployment and easy content updates. Your work will directly impact our online brand presence and customer engagement.
  • System Optimization & Performance Enhancement: Beyond building, you will continuously analyze, identify, and implement strategies for optimizing the performance, scalability, and security of all our technical systems. This includes database tuning, code refactoring, and infrastructure improvements to ensure a smooth and reliable user experience.

Specifically, candidates must be able to reliably commute to our operational base in Houghton Estate, Gauteng, or demonstrate a concrete plan to relocate to the area before their employment commences.
